Completion of Missing Imagery (copy)

Some memories are worth every effort to rescue from the clutches of time.

A severely damaged family snapshot. The original photograph has fragmented into multiple irregular pieces, with over 50% of the visual information missing.
The original print exhibits uneven yellowing accompanied by droplet-shaped chemical damage.Large, irregular voids in the center of the frame have resulted in the complete loss of the adult male’s torso, left arm, and legs, as well as the lower half of the infant’s body.Severe physical tearing and emulsion abrasion at the edges of the surviving fragments increased the difficulty of achieving seamless alignment during reassembly. The restoration focus was on integrating the remaining fragments into a coherent narrative image through logical inference and structural reorganization.

Structural Reorganization:
Redefined the horizon and spatial depth based on perspective relationships, reconstructing the chair structure supporting the subjects' seated poses and the background wall.

Pixel Repainting:
Performed high-precision texture simulation for the father’s missing dark knit sweater, trousers, and leather shoes, ensuring that the light and shadow patterns align with the original light source.

Limb Restoration:
Focused on restoring the hand gestures involved in passing an object (a baby bottle or toy), as well as the leg details of the infant wearing a skirt and socks, thereby restoring the dynamic continuity of the scene.
